We are the Flor en Piedra group of artisans, made up of more than 10 families of artisans from the towns of Caspalá in the Valle Grande department of the Jujuy province. Our group is characterized by being made up of female embroiderer artisans, passionate about our work. We are all head of the family, our main breadwinner is livestock production (vaccine) and agriculture for family consumption.
About more than sixty years ago the embroidery of flowers in shawls began to be made, at that time it was done with a wild cane needle, wild flowers that were observed in the fields were embroidered. Our shawls are the result of our culture, of our worldview, it is a heritage that we want to share with the tourists who visit us.
The artisan experience consists of providing a tourist experience together with our group of artisans, where we will show the techniques of embroidery and dyeing with natural dyes.
